Your location stays on your device
The nearest casino is worked out in your browser, from the town you pick or a position the browser gives once. Nearest Territory never receives that position, and no copy of it is kept anywhere.
The location button
The location button does nothing until the browser asks for permission. If the reader agrees, the browser hands over a single position, once. That position is used on this device to work out the nearest casino in a straight line. It is not stored, and it is not sent to the site or anywhere else.
Nobody has to press it. The town list holds the 137 places that OpenStreetMap tags as a city or town in Alberta, and picking one shows its nearest casino without any position at all. Villages and hamlets are not in that list, so a reader in one of them can use the button instead.
What is kept, and where
Only two things are kept. The chosen town sits in this browser on this device, and nowhere else. A theme choice lasts until the tab is closed. Nothing more is saved: the site sets no cookies and has no forms, no accounts and no email address. It loads nothing from other websites either.
Paid links appear on the home page only, marked Ad, and lead to an online casino partner. That is another site with its own rules about data, and those rules do not come from this guide.
Questions
Does Nearest Territory know where I am?
No, the site never learns it. A position shared through the location button is used once on this device to find the nearest casino. It is neither stored nor sent anywhere.
How do I make the site forget my chosen town?
The town is kept in this browser only. Clearing the site data for Nearest Territory in the browser settings removes it. Nothing else needs deleting, because the town is not kept anywhere else.
